Putting competence-based learning into practice requires not only a new curriculum but also an appropriate learning environment. During the Study Day on 4th December 2014 at University College of Agrarian and Environmental Pedagogy Prof. Josef Leisen (Germany) showed the interaction of assignment, material and methods in order to create a product in the sense of activity-oriented learning.  Worth studying is the teach-learn-modell in order to provide challenge in the learning process. The website for further details on this model is in German.

Learning fields as concept for organising competence-based learning, join-up thinking in Green Pedagogy, school development processes and change management were addressed as well.
