In the weeks 42-44 Dalum Landbrugsskole has 34 agricultural students aged 16-17 experiencing the culture, language and working life in Ireland and on Iceland. The students live at farms across the countries where they are a part of a family or the working team. The first-year students get to manage horses, sheep or cows and experience another way of doing so. They improve their English and learn how other European citizens think and live. The stay will challenge the young people, force them to problem solving on their own, manage homesickness and come up with solutions to overcome challenges. Our experience is that the young people return with a higher confidence, believe more in themselves and have improved practical skills.
