During the very first days of November 2024 more than 110 teachers and school leaders from green VET all over Norway were gathered at one of our wonderful schools; Jønsberg videregående skole, near by Hamar in the south eastern part of Norway.
Since green VET in Norway is very diverse and differ a lot between regions and schools, we had made a very diverse program too. All parts of program focused on how we can help each other to succeed in our effort to make green VET shine, through building network, sharing experience and new ideas for teaching, get inspiration from one of the 13 businesses that we could visit, and from our hosting school, Jønsberg.
Participants could choose between a wide range of topics, like forestry, traditional husbandry, plant production, gardening, equestrian, accompanying animals, nature management, adapted teaching for pupils with special needs and school management. It is a lot of work to organise a gathering like this, but to meet a lot of enthusiastic colleagues, feel the flow of energy, get information and new ideas definitely make it worth the work.
