Teagasc Horticulture apprentices are pictured demonstrating their skills at the Garden and Landscaping exhibit at World Skills 2026 at the RDS in Dublin, Ireland last week. A fantastic showcase for all apprentices and their disciplines. The second-year apprentices from Teagasc Botanic Gardens are completing the garden build under the supervision of College Teacher Paddy Smith. Great interest from all the young attendees who are enthusiastic about partaking in basic paving and soft landscaping skills to get a feel for what it is like to work in the Horticulture sector. Alex Coughlan, Alex Delaney, Jason Galbraith and Ian Grahame are among the Teagasc apprentices involved in the build at the RDS this week. Teagasc staff are on hand to meet and greet attendees along with career guidance teachers and parents who are interested in the apprenticeship pathway to employment and education combined.
