The project partners—which, alongside Europea España, include vocational education and training (VET) schools from Finland, Denmark, Turkey, the Basque Country, and Romania, with the support of the ENGIM Veneto Vicenza foundation and Humacapital SRLS, both from Italy—analysed the factors affecting the well-being of professionals working in VET centres (management teams, teaching staff, administrative and service personnel, service teams, etc.). The goal is to improve the elements influencing occupational and social health, ensuring this improvement results in higher educational quality for the students.
After mapping and compiling the documentation provided by the partners regarding staff well-being in VET centres, and designing the project’s communication and dissemination strategies, it has been determined that well-being impacts three key dimensions of an educational centre’s employees’ lives.
These three dimensions—social, professional, and general well-being—influence the emotional, professional, and physical health of staff in their daily routines. Therefore, Wellbeing4VET will design training resources and a toolkit focusing on these areas for the training and capacity-building of VET center personnel. These resources will be based on the five core skills identified by the project: Communication, Leadership, Interaction, Stress Management, and Conflict Resolution.
To determine the specific aspects of these five core skills that need to be addressed, a survey designed by the Wellbeing4VET partners will be launched. This survey will be conducted among VET center employees across the different member countries, and its findings will serve as the foundation for developing the training materials and designing the accompanying support tools.
Europea España also took this opportunity to showcase the culture and gastronomy of the Region of Murcia through cultural visits and activities aimed at promoting well-being.
Finally, we would like to thank all participants for their high level of professionalism, as well as the CIFEA of Molina de Segura and its team for their excellent cooperation in successfully hosting this second TPM (Transnational Project Meeting) in Murcia.
