Agricultural schools open their doors for the general public
For the new school year agricultural schools in the Czech Republic regularly prepare a lot of interesting events for pupils of primary schools, kindergarten children and also for the general public.
Traditional days of open doors, which are organized for the youngsters interested in agricultural studies, offer a tour of the school and lots of information on study programmes taught there. In addition to these activities, schools organise Project Days, competitions, and special programmes focused on Earth Day or European Day of Languages.
Primary school pupils like various leisure time activities and interest groups such as breeding of animals, biology, floristics and gardening, riding horses or farming. Activities for kindergarten children include visiting school farms and creating Christmas and Easter decoration.
For the general public the students and teachers of agricultural schools prepare interesting events such as exhibitions of small animals, botanical garden tours, florist exhibitions, Hubert rides and traditional Czech pig-slaughtering.
We do believe that all these activities will support positive perception of the green sector and also increase the interest for the studies of agriculture and other related branches.
