What is your level of technology literacy?

Many teachers had their level of technology literacy tested at the EUROPEA meeting in Jyväskylä, Finland. This became clear when they had to work with Sphero edu”-balls. Sphero Edu is a STEAM-based tool-set that weaves hardware, software, and community engagement to promote 21st century skills. The workshop presented the basic idea of 21st century skills and some challenges related to this term.

Participants also learned about the project “Feeding the World” funded by ERASMUS+. In this project a number of three-week course modules has been developed and tested. Some of the courses are focused on content related to future farming (e.g. GPS controlled field operations in Denmark, Urban high-tech farming in the Netherlands). These international courses are stimulating students to achieve what is considered to be important skills  for the future – 21st century skills.
