The President of the Canary Islands, Fernando Clavijo, alongside the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food Sovereignty, Narvay Quintero, opened the 2026 Agricultural Generational Renewal Gathering at the Tacoronte Agricultural Training School.
- Applications & Funding: A total of 275 young people have applied for CAP Strategic Plan (PEPAC) grants to establish agricultural enterprises. Between 2023 and 2026, the Regional Ministry has administered €19.9 million in subsidies.
- Event Objectives: The event brought together grant beneficiaries from 2025 and 2026 across all islands to foster networking, share insights, evaluate business growth, and submit suggestions to optimize support measures.
- Regulatory Improvements: President Clavijo emphasized updates to the regulatory framework and increased budgets to ensure no viable project lacks financial support.
