From 2022, Fratelli Agosti Comprehensive School, in union with 5 other schools and universities from Croatia, Germany, Romania, and 2 from Turkey, respectively, is participating in the developing of the COPEFA – COnscious PEsticide FArmin project. The program was designed and funded by the European Community with the aim of disseminating to everyone, and in particular to students in schools and faculty of agriculture, the correct practices of conscious use of pesticides in order to safeguard people and the environment.
The project has led to the creation of a website, https://www.copefa.eu/, available in 10 languages, where people can learn more about different topics related to the phytosanitary topic and test their knowledge about it.
The work involved teachers and students from all participating institutions, at which 5 meetings were held in rotation.
On December 15 and 16, 2022, the Fratelli Agosti Institute was the scene of the third scheduled meeting and welcomed 8 representatives of the various entities involved who, in addition to working on the implementation of the project, had the opportunity to visit the Institute and the city of Bagnoregio.
The final meeting, where the completed work will be presented, is scheduled for October 19 and 20, 2023 in Berlin. A delegation from Bagnoregio’s Istituto Omnicomprensivo Fratelli Agosti, led by Principal Paola Adami, will also be present.
