CPIFP Montearagón continues to enhance technological innovation in agricultural training through the full digitalization of its educational livestock farm.
Since last academic year, the school has implemented a smart monitoring system on its cattle herd using collars equipped with GPS tracking and motion sensors. This system allows students to monitor real-time data regarding animal locations, feeding routines, and key reproductive events such as heat detection or imminent calving.
In addition, environmental sensors measuring temperature, humidity, and gas levels have been installed across the facilities, enabling students to practice modern animal welfare management. Students from the Higher Degree in Livestock and Animal Health Assistance were also responsible for capturing all the project’s photographs.
