The extraordinary week of Erasmus+ small group mobility in Greece has just come to an end, featuring students and teachers from “Basile Caramia – Gigante” Upper Secondary School, hosted by the 1st General Lyceum of Vasilika (Thessaloniki).
During their stay, from October 6th to 12th, 2025, our students experienced intense days of cultural activities, educational workshops, guided tours, and intercultural exchange. Warmly welcomed by host families, the students participated in a welcome ceremony, where they presented their school, its two campuses, study programs, school products, and traditional Italian recipes.
In turn, they discovered Greek history and civilization through art, traditional dishes, and cultural events. They also visited the Gerovassiliou Winery, with a guided tour through the vineyards surrounded by the sea and Mount Olympus, and the Wine Museum, featuring a collection of rare and unique pieces from the 18th century.
The students were also enthusiastic about their visit to the American Farm School in Thessaloniki, a private vocational school in agriculture, where they learned about alternative approaches to education and training in agriculture.
The trip concluded with a guided tour of Thessaloniki, exploring monuments, history, and a fun educational game to discover the city.
This experience has left unforgettable memories, new friendships, and a deeper understanding that constructive coexistence generates dialogue and peace.
