EUROPEA – Spain is preparing its XXVIII National Congress which will take place in Solsona – Catalonia from 19 to 21 April 2023.
Around 80 people coming from all regions of Spain are expected to take part in this Congress which will have “BIOECONOMICS” as the central axis of work.
Among the activities planned, a visit to the Forestry Science and Technology Centre of Catalonia has been scheduled, where there will be different presentations including those related to the forest as a source of life for the rural environment. And within this context, the problems of the exponential increase in forest fires as a result of climate change will be addressed, as well as how to prevent them through integrated forest management and by practising naturalistic forestry.
Another activity of interest that will take place during this congress will be a visit to a farm where natural truffle cultivation is being carried out.
Moreover, attendees will be able to see the technical and architectural reforms that are being carried out in agricultural training centres in Catalonia to adapt them to the new needs of energy saving and environmental sustainability, thus contributing to the achievement of the SDGs of the 2030 Agenda.
