Youth Ploughtning Contest 2022 timetable

September 15, Thursday

Arrival of foreign contestants, accommodation in the school hostel, getting around in Olustvere followed by dinner.

18.00 Dinner in the school canteen

 

September 16, Friday

8.30 – 9.00 Breakfast in the school canteen
9.15  Drawing of tractors for foreign competitors and familiarization with the machinery in the study farm
10.00 – 12.45 Lunch in the school canteen
13.00 Instructing competitors, trial ploughing
17.30 Line-up on the flag ground
18.00 Dinner in the school canteen

September 17, Saturday

7.00 – 7.45 Breakfast in the school canteen
8.00 Line up of machines and competitors for the opening ceremony,  the opening of the ploughing contest on the flag ground
8.30. – 8.40 Drive to the competition site
8.40 – 9.00 Marking of the contest ground (yellow flag)
9.00 – 9.20 Opening furrow (green flag)
9.20  – 9.40 Evaluation of the opening furrow (red flag)
9.40 – 12.20 The main plough (green flag)
12.20 Time out! RED FLAG! The squares must be ploughed to the end !!! Line-up of the tractors on the flag ground.
11.30 – 13.15 Lunch on the flag ground for all
12.30 – 12.40  Drive to the competition site
12.40 -13.00 Marking of the contest ground (yellow flag)
13.00 – 13.20 Opening furrow (green flag)
13.20 – 13.40 Evaluation of the opening furrow (red flag)
13.40 – 16.20 The main plough (green flag)

September 18, Sunday

9.00 – 9.30  Breakfast in the school canteen.
Departure of foreign contestants

The contest follows the rules of the world championships.

 2 competitors can compete in each country!

Marmalade Competition 

Each participant can bring a sweet and/ or savory preserves.

  1. The participant prepares either savory or sweet preserves.
  2. The participant marks his / her deposit(s) by writing on the note the name of the deposit, the name and place of the manufacturer (farm or village, rural municipality/ city, county, school, etc.). Nice if the note is already designed at home. Those who have not done so can mark the deposit on site.
  3. The deposits are numbered by the organizers and according to them the visitors can evaluate the deposits as follows: salty deposits, sweet deposits.
  4. Visitors will be provided with cups and spoons for tasting by the organizers.
  5. If possible, the participant will bring reproduced recipes that can be distributed to visitors.
  6. The votes cast by visitors shall be counted by a three-member committee: 1 local representative, 1 voluntary and 1 on-site organizer.
  7. The 3 best salt cans, the 3 best sweet cans and the 3 ahha cans that have received the most votes from visitors will be rewarded.
