This year Taitaja, the Finnish national skills competition, is scheduled for 14th – 17th May 2018 and will be held in Tampere. It is the largest annual VET event organized with the intention to promote professional skills and improve cooperation with the business sector.
There will be 45 different skills on the agenda and approximately 400 competitors are expected to enter. They must be students of vocational schools with the age limit of 21. Some disciplines are international, and what is more, the organisers will provide the opportunity for students with special needs to take part too (TaitajaPLUS). Also, there are going to be interesting follow-up programmes like presentations, excursions and international seminars.
EUROPEA will be represented by a young lady entering the floristry competition. Milla comes from Huittinen and the EUROPEA school SASKY Municipal Education and Training Consortium, Huittinen Business and Vocational College, and will be there in Tampere to compete for her school and for all of us EUROPEAns.
Fingers crossed and good luck, Milla !
