Requena, Spain. First-year students on the Higher Vocational Training programme in Forest Management and the Natural Environment at the Félix Jiménez School of Viticulture and Oenology, run by the Valencia Provincial Council, have delivered an environmental education workshop for primary school pupils at Alfonso X El Sabio School in Requena.
During the workshop, the future forestry professionals explained the benefits of trees, the importance of sustainable forest management, tree health and forest fire prevention.
This initiative raises young children’s awareness of nature conservation while giving VET students the opportunity to apply their knowledge in a real-life educational setting and develop their professional skills.
