Getting new experiences in Austria

October 24, 2019
By: Gerd Alscher

A class of young farmers from German EUROPEA school Fachschulzentrum Freiberg-Zug visited several Austrian EUROPEA at the end of September. They went to Litzlhof, Kobenz and Krems and saw how different the green VET in Austria works in comparison to the German system.

The Austrian hosts welcomed them very heartly and showed them their schools. The invitation to Kobenz went back to the Agrolympics in Poland where the students met and arranged this meeting. This is what EUROPEA stands for: networking, meeting and learning from each other. EUROPEA secretary general Elisabeth Hönigsberger herself welcomed the German students at winery school in Krems and showed them her school. Several company visits, a herbal hiking tour through a national park and a day in Vienna made this week unforgettable for the students with lots of impressions from Austria´s green VET.

A great “Thank you” to all the Austrian hosts!
