The cooperation within EUROPEA between Green Academy, Aarhus (DK) and KMASZC, Budapest (HU) is quite unique. They started “growing experiences” together almost ten years ago! With the help of ERASMUS+ framework today there are several programmes that Hungarian students can choose from in order to develop their professional skills in Denmark.
× two long-term courses (10 weeks) in landscaping and agricultural machinery
× five short-term trainings (2-4 weeks) in environmental protection, animal husbandry, equestrian studies, land surveying and landscaping level2
Groups usually consist of 15-20 students escorted by 2 teachers. They stay and study at Green Academy premises, as well as on the surrounding farms and businesses. Also, there are plenty of time for cultural programmes and unforgettable experiences. Along with the student mobilities, there is a study visit for teachers too, giving the opportunity to KMASZC teachers every year to learn more about the Danish way of teaching in Green VET.
These days the two EUROPEA schools work together in the ERASDG project that involves teachers and students alike and focuses on teaching SDGs.
Sadly, the pandemic has limited the cooperation in the past couple of years, however, colleagues have already started planning and analysing the possibilities. Hopefully spring and summer of 2022 will see Hungarian students and teachers travelling to Denmark again, and put those wonderful smiles on their faces. Fingers crossed!
