CIFEA Lorca students complemented classroom learning with first-hand experience at two key events in the sector
CIFEA Lorca students have taken part this year in activities in real professional settings. One of the highlights was a visit to FERICAB (International Horse Fair), attended by students of the Agricultural Production and Livestock and Animal Health Care programmes. They observed horse management systems, breeding techniques, specialised facilities and animal welfare procedures, learned about different farming models and spoke with professionals.
As a complement, first-year students from the different programmes attended the 1st Agri-Livestock Job Fair, held as part of SEPOR (National Pig Livestock Week), one of the most important professional events in south-eastern Spain’s agri-food sector. There they met companies, organisations and institutions and learned about in-demand profiles, job opportunities, training pathways and work placements.
For CIFEA, these experiences are essential to quality VET, linked to innovation, local needs and the challenges facing European farming and livestock.
