In November 2022, as part of an ongoing review of learners’ Practical Learning Period (PLP), Teagasc staff and students hosted a live webinar from the multimedia studio at Teagasc Head Office in Carlow. The aim of the webinar was to introduce students to PLP and set them up for success when they embark on their first placement in March 2023. The webinar was hosted by Ellen Doherty (Level 6 student from Kildalton College) with panellists Jack Corkery (Salesian College, Pallaskenry dairy student) and Katie Cooney (Ballyhaise dry stock student). A host farmer from Kilkenny also spoke by virtual link during the session. The event was watched live by Level 5 students from their respective colleges.
