KA210-VET – Small-scale Partnerships in Vocational Education and Training
Duration: 12 months
Start date: 01/11/2025eur
End date: 31/10/2026
Project Description
The Global Climate-Smart Farming (GCSF) project aims to strengthen climate-smart agricultural education in vocational education and training (VET). Together with partners from Denmark and Poland, the project develops and pilots an intensive two-week training programme focused on sustainable, regenerative, and climate-resilient farming practices.
Through hands-on learning and experimentation, VET students will gain practical skills to address climate challenges in agriculture. A key element of the project is the creation of micro-scale farms, allowing students to apply climate-smart techniques in real-life learning environments.
The project promotes innovation in VET, transnational cooperation, and sustainability in agriculture. Its results will be disseminated across European VET schools through EUROPEA International, supporting the development of green skills and raising awareness of sustainable farming among young learners.
Objectives
- Develop Climate-Smart Agricultural Skills
Provide VET students in Denmark and Poland with practical training in climate-friendly and climate-resilient farming methods. - Foster Transnational Collaboration
Encourage knowledge exchange and intercultural teamwork between Danish and Polish students and educators, strengthening cross-border VET partnerships. - Create and Test a Replicable Training Programme
Develop a scalable curriculum on climate-smart agriculture, pilot it in Denmark, and implement it in Poland. - Promote Sustainability in Agriculture
Align VET education with EU Green Deal objectives by integrating environmentally responsible farming practices and supporting students in developing solutions to climate challenges.
Expected Outcomes
- Global Climate-Smart Farming Training Programme
A fully developed and tested curriculum for use in VET schools in Denmark, Poland, and other European countries. - Successful Pilot Test in Denmark
Danish and Polish students participate in joint training activities and apply climate-smart agricultural techniques. - Building Sustainable Microfarms
Students design and construct small-scale microfarms as a core practical learning component. - Implementation in Poland
The training programme and microfarm concept are adapted and tested in Polish VET institutions. - Dissemination and Knowledge Sharing
Project results will be published on partner school websites.
Each partner will organise at least one dissemination event, reaching a minimum of 40 local or 20 international stakeholders.
