The objectives we would like to achieve are to raise awareness among pupils, teachers and the partner school institutions about waste and find solutions / propositions to improve the situation.
To reach these objectives, pupils will participate in activities and work on various productions. They will:
- get to know about the consequences of waste on the environment through lessons (Science, Agriculture, Economics, English lessons…) by creating collaborative quizzes (each school exploring one aspect in particular)
- observe and analyse zero waste related consumer habits by creating or answering a survey
- establish a picture of what is done and what is not done in their own school and in the partner schools, discuss with their peers and propose solutions or actions to improve the situation (a zero waste charter / project)
- be aware of the positive impacts of changing their consumer habits (through Science, Agriculture, Economics, English lessons…) by participating in zero waste workshops
- be aware of their food waste during a transnational activity
- be aware of their carbon footprint when travelling by planting trees to try to compensate it
- get to know about zero waste initiatives through visits to companies with best practices, local zero waste association meetings and activities (around their own schools and around two of the partner schools)
