Project day in Räpina

January 26, 2021
By: Katrin Uurman

The horticulture department of Räpina School of Horticulture (EE) is preparing for a plant project starting on Valentine’s Day. This is why we initiated the project study day for students that took place on Monday (25th of January 2021).

During the session, Gardening students prepared quizzes, developed a concept for instructional videos during the brainstorming session, and began writing tutorials and articles. The day ended with the filming of educational videos in the greenhouse of the horticultural school. Via these instructional videos, gardening students will teach participants of the plant project how to sow cucumber seeds and plant plants in pots.

This year, more than 300 kindergarten and school groups will participate in the plant project (named “Kurgisõbrad – Cucumber Friends”) of Räpina School of Horticulture. The project involves about 250 educational institutions across Estonia. This plant project is taking place for the eighth time.

On the project day, the students were supervised by teachers Anu Käär and Katrin Uurman
