Geneva/Delémont, 21-25 September 2021
This September the EUROPEAns met in Switzerland for the regular Autumn Seminar.
Meeting started in Geneva – the lovely, vibrant city we all know by its famous lake – and on the first working day we were hosted by the beautiful Green VET Training Centre in Lullier. The programme included presentations on Swiss educational system and AgrAliForm working environment, as well as workshops and visits to school premises and local food producers.
Next day we set off to the amazing Swiss countryside in three groups to three different regions: Valais, Neuchatel and Vaude. The trips took us through picturesque villages and astonishing mountain areas, and made us realise that there is much more to this beautiful country that we tend to think: Switzerland is not only banks, watches, chocolate and cheese but also high-quality Green VET education, warm hospitality and delicious wine! Evening found us in Delémont, near Basel, engaged in exciting exchange of experiences, sitting by the dinner table, having “raclette” (a peculiar cheese dish) served by our hosts themselves!
National Coordinators meeting started early in the morning on the third day with discussions about our future plans and tasks. The programme continued with a constructive and highly informative conference on e-commerce as part of series of events organised by our colleagues from the Delémont Green VET school. In the evening we attended the nearly 300-person Gala Dinner of the Competition of Local Products, together with all the participants and winners. What a night it was!
For many of the EUROPEAns this was the last item on the programme, however, a small group stayed on and enjoyed the Market of Local Products – the 9th GRAND MARCHE DES TERROIRS SUISSES – on Saturday, with more than 100 exhibitors!
Many-many thanks to our Swiss hosts for the great experiences and a truly exceptional meeting!
See you in France, dear Friends!
