The head shepherd of bullfight livestock

The CFMR of Moraleja – Cáceres – Spain is the only VET school in the world which offers a training diploma of “Bullfighting Livestock Head- Shepherd”.

The Bullfighting Shepard of a cattle ranch is responsible for raising, in every way, bulls and wild cows from birth until they are fought in the bullring or in popular festivities.

The auxiliary course of shepherd of brave cows taught at the Training Centre of the Rural Environment of Moraleja, arises from the need for greater professionalization of this specific sector, where there are more than 540,000 hectares of Iberian pasture dedicated to the brave bull and more than 1,200 cattle ranching companies.

The workers of the brave bull sector, according to the new times, need greater professionalism, so the aforementioned course arose and at the same time be able to give the opportunity to those young people who dream with working in a cattle ranch.

Students, for a year, study general culture, business management, bullfighting, feeding and handling of cattle, breeding and selection of cattle, riding the cowgirl, blacksmiths, sanitation, tempting and other specific practices of brave cattle sector.
