In Denmark, we do courses for International students…
In May this year, 26 students from Poland participated in a 4-week course in animal husbandry and machinery. The course was organized by Green Academy in Aarhus. Why did the Polish students choose Denmark? The main reason was to combine the theoretical education from Poland with the practical in Denmark. In Poland, the vocational education training is very theoretical oriented. Many schools are equipped with old fashion machinery. During the 4-week course the students learned:
- how to make silage
- milking certificate
- basic service of farm machinery
- feeding and care of animals
- organic farming
- spraying
- fertilizing
- use of high tech seeding machine (agrotronic)
- hoof trimming
… and school gardens
Students from a Danish primary school are learning about growing vegetables. They have their own gardens at Asmildkloster Agricultural School.
