VET AND NEW NEW APPLIED TO GREEN SECTOR
16 – 19 April 2024
This April, EUROPEA-Spain will hold its XXIX national congress in the city of Toledo. The
topic of the congress will be VET AND NEW NEW TECHNOLOGIES APPLIED TO GREEN
SECTOR.
New technologies are already being implemented in a very strong way in the
agricultural sector, so the theme of the Congress might seem a bit old-fashioned.
However, at EUROPEA-Spain we have detected that there is a need to introduce these
new technologies into vocational training in a more in-depth way. It is essential that
our students go out into the labour market better qualified in this sense and make a
difference with untrained workers. In this way, employers will find in trained students a
great ally to increase the competitiveness of their companies.
The congress will last 3 days and activities will be carried out along the following lines:
- Presentations by experts from companies that develop new technologies in the
agricultural sector, such as Agrisat S.L. or Naandan Jain Ibérica S.L.U.
- Visits to public technology institutes that develop innovative studies such as the
IRIAF Regional Institute for Agri-Food and Forestry Research and Development
of Castilla-La Mancha.
- Worktables with the attendees divided into agrarian subfamilies to share
information and future common projects.
- Visits to educational centres where students and teachers will explain how to
train students in subjects related to new technologies.
- Cultural visits to the city of Toledo and the famous windmills that Don Quixote
fought against in Cervantes’ famous novel.
- General Assembly of Europe-Spain where information will be given on the
activities carried out since the previous Assembly and future lines of action of
our association will be proposed,
The Congress will end with a gala dinner where we will be able to strengthen ties
between the members and all the attendees.
