Young ERASMUS Ambassadors

February 23, 2024

A few months ago, EUROPEA member KMASzC (Budapest, Hungary) launched a unique programme: a course for young ERASMUS Ambassadors!

The project is the brainchild of Judit Emma Tóth and Tamara Tuza, Erasmus+ coordinators of KMASzC, who had a desire to give something special for their exceptional students who previously participated in Erasmus+ mobilities. They got aware of the fact that it is not enough to promote the international activities among schools, but it is also important to have „student voices” present that would provide their peers with more information and experiences about the mobilities.

With the assistance of some external lecturers the programme is now running smoothly, gathering youngsters from 7 KMASzC schools approximately twice a month. The course includes about 20 meetings (both on-site and online, in English and in Hungarian) and will boast with presentations, workshops, trips and events.  Participants will learn a great deal about the policy, structure and functioning of the EU, communication in diplomacy, ERASMUS mobilities, career planning, team building, content creation, event organisation and a lot more. They will take part in international events to experience the ambiance and get familiar with a multi-cultural environment. The project ends with a journey to Brussels, Belgium, and a visit to the European Parliament in May.

The ladies, Judit and Tamara, are determined to continue the programme in the upcoming years, which would be absolutely lovely for the KMASzC students!

During the EUROPEA Editorial Group Meeting in January, two of the young ambassadors had the chance to meet and spend some time with our colleagues. Borbala Ballon and Péter Krisneider joined the afternoon programme on the second day. It was a fine evening with a nice walk through the town of Vác, some hot drinks, a lot of chit-chat, laughter and fun.
