AGROLYMPICS is going strong! The 3rd edition of the Games in Portugal finished only a few days ago but we already have a fine line-up for the upcoming years as more and more member states are taking up the challenge of the organisation.
The idea of this large-scale competition came from a man whom the EUROPEAns all know and appreciate. Georges Krack (LU), one of the founding fathers of EUROPEA, had a big dream; he wanted to bring together the youth of Europe for an exciting contest and make them compete in practical disciplines showcasing their professional talents and competences.
One of the finest stories of the 2018 AGROLYMPICS was the surprise that the organisers had prepared for him. They set up a silver plate on the wall of the tribunes honouring the creator and celebrating the event. It was a well-kept secret; only a few people knew what it was really about. Then, they asked the man himself to reveal it during the Opening Ceremony!
And wow! What a big surprise it was! What an emotional moment! Thank you Mr. Krack! Thank you, Portugal! LONG LIVE AGROLYMPICS!
